4 minA walking tour of Paris's greatest monuments and its less well known squares, buildings and neighbourhoods. Two great themes of Paris are Romance and Revolution and this walking tour will introduce both to you so that you can get a true sense of this remarkable city.
We start in the vast, imposing Place de la Concorde where you'll hear the full story of the guillotine and the grisly goings on. We'll then lead through some of the most beautiful sights of the city, including the elegant Opera Garnier and the secluded Palais-Royal. We'll give you the history of the place as you stand next to it and tell you what to look out for.
We'll bring you right up to date with the famous but controversial Pompidou Centre and then take you onto the historic Marais and the glorious Place des Vosges. You'll hear the story of the notorious Bastille as you look across at where it once stood and then we'll take you to one of Paris's hidden gems - the Isle Saint Louis.
